English language classes for adults are continuing on a regular basis at Knox Centre. The classes are led by an experienced ESL teacher assisted by several dedicated volunteers.
These classes have been in progress for more than one year. They continue in response to an ongoing demand resulting from the large influx into Calgary of non-English immigrants and refugees. Unfortunately, many of these new arrivals are experiencing huge delays in accessing necessary assistance with their language learning.
New sessions at Knox Centre begin every two months. At the present time, our classes are scheduled weekly on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. That schedule may change during the winter months to Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Knox Centre is located downtown at 506 – 4th Street SW. It is conveniently located one block from C-train stations and bus stops.

You will find a team of dedicated volunteer English tutors at Knox. They are waiting to welcome you and assist you in adapting to life in a new country as best they can. These English classes are located at Knox Centre. Knox Centre is downtown and one block from the C-train station at the corner of 6th Avenue and 4th Street S.W.

Students numbers are limited. You may need to be put on a waiting list.
Classes are free, but a $20 registration fee is requested to help cover costs.
